COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

2023 | 2022 | 2021 | 2020

We believe in empowering youths to positively impact the migrant worker community. We are happy to have opportunities with like-minded community partners for youths to take action and do good to impact the migrant workers.

COLLABORATION WITH
MCDONALD'S FOR DEEPAVALI

Embracing the spirit of Deepavali, McDonald's Singapore invited a small group of migrant workers for a meal at Aperia Mall. Together with The Salvation Army Sojourn, we brought some festive cheer to some Special Pass holders recuperating from work-related injuries. The workers enjoyed a dinner treat together with our youth volunteers and engaged in DIY crafts to make their own Diya lamps. Read more about the event in the news - English and Tamil.

“Through the conversations we had over dinner and the making of Deepavali-related crafts, we managed to get a clearer picture of their lives here in Singapore and the struggles they face.”

— Aaron, J1 Student, ACS Independent

“We have been on other outings to Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Zoo but this is the first time dining at McDonald's restaurant together with my friends so I am very happy!”

— Rana Masud, 38, a Migrant Worker from Bangladesh

CLEANERS’ APPRECIATION WITH
TAMPINES TOWN COUNCIL

On 30 May, together with Tampines Town Council and The Salvation Army, we joined in for their Cleaners’ Appreciation Day. Games, performances and complimentary blood glucose and blood pressure tests were provided for local and migrant cleaners across all precincts. Our youth volunteers helped to man a booth for the cleaners to enjoy photo printouts.
